Tutorial Reference or Trial by Error?

Hello Fellow Gamers!

I have a discussion question for everyone that popped into my head as I continue progressing through several games in my backlog. When playing a campaign/story game in which you've never played before and you get lost or stuck in a section, do you immediately
look up a tutorial online to get you through the rough patch? Or, do you take your time, problem solve, and attempt to figure it out on your own without any external help whatsoever? This concern grows within me as I stare my large collection of titles in
my backlog. On one hand, I definitely prefer to take my time and figure things out on my own, however I get the itch that I'm almost wasting my time if I remain stuck in a section for too long when I could be progressing and moving on to other titles and achievement
hunting. Does anyone else share with me in this concern/problem? I'm hoping I'm not completely alone! Happy gaming all

I tend to take my time exploring on any game really. But if i do become stuck i tend to try figure it out myself. I remember playing Portal took me longer than I'd like to admit for some of the puzzles lol.

I use tutorial videos only in extreme cases when I'm already out of ideas or alternatives.

I love playing the trial and error way because it gives me more pleasure and joy when completing certain parts of the game.

I'll try that i could do it without Videos. If i really stuck for a long time i consider to watch a Video.

I'll suffer through it for a while but if it comes to a point where I'm just completely lost then I'll look up a guide...especially for hunting down collectibles.
