TurtlebTurtle beach xl1 headset won't work with 360 but kinda works with xbox one...

I bought a xl1 headset to use with both my xboxes but it won't work with my Xbox 360 for chat. People can hear me but I can't hear them... cables are hooked up as per the instructions and volumes are turned up full. Nothing.

On the xbox one I get it working but the people I am talking to can hear themselves speaking through the headset... not sure why.

Any ideas?

Sounds like your audio cables are switched up somewhere. I have a few TB's and they work great on the 360 or one. Only thing I needed was the stereo headset adapter for the one but other than that it was pretty straight forward.

Did you see what TB had to say about this?

 

I have to re connect my blue tooth every time I go from xbox one to 360.

 

I looked around the turtle beach site but couldn't find anything that was like my issue.

The xl1 I bought was a used one so that might be why I was having issues.

I ended up returning it and paid the difference for a brand new x12 which is working fine so far on the one.

Will try the 360 later.

 

I had some of the really cheap "Turtle Beaches" for the XBox 360.

Chat worked correctly when you set the chat to come out of your TV speakers as well as the headset.

Not a guaranteed fix for this but worth a try.

 

Enen what blu tooth TBs are you using?

 

XP400 but only blue tooth on 360, have the chat adapter for the one.

 

Ah ok, you had my hopes up that I could get mine to work wireless on the One then!

 

There is a way to link the blue tooth to xbox one adaptor or end if the cheaper headset but I haven't tried it, there are a number of you tube videos about it.
