Turtlebeach X42s

I have a pair of x42s and I am trying to get it to work with the Xbox One. I remember having this same issue when I first got them and hooked them up to the Xbox 360 and eventually fixed it but I can't remember how and I am hoping someone would steer me
in the right direction.

Basically, I have everything connected correctly(double and triple checked) the headset and the receiver are paired up(have tried doing it multiple times just to make sure it's connected and it is) but no sound is coming out. This happened on the Xbox 360 when
I got it but I just can't figure out how I got it to start working. I just want game audio to work!

I have turtlebeach x42s. I'm going to pick up a new adaptor today.

I've been hearing footsteps for months now with my Turtlebeach X42s. Of course, I had to set it at full volume & the game's audio to supercrunch mode - but it works.

 

Hi Dante! Are you connected to the console via Optical cable? If so, have you tried switching your Optical Audio mode to Dolby Digital instead of DTS? I know for some reason my Tritton's are not receiving the DTS signal properly, but as soon as I switch
it to DD, it works perfectly.

I didn't even think of fiddling with the settings. I got it working! I changed optical from bitstream to stereo and it started working. I then saw your post and set it up your way and it sounds even better. Thanks!
