    Turtlebeach X32 and X42 No chat. Help!!!


    I currently have both the Turtlebeach x32 and x42, Xbox Elite controller, and the chatpad. I have game audio through either headset and sounds great. Now the issue is that I have no chat, I have the chatpad connected to the elite controller and all firmware
    is updated. The chat mixer is turned all the way up and my game audio comes from the headset. I have checked all my settings and they are correct from what I can tell. I can see peoples speakers light up when they talk but I cant hear them and they cant hear
    me. Help!!!!

    Need Help Choosing A Good Gaming Headset!!!?

    I recently got the turtle beach x42 for only 100 bucks and I think they are now 146 on amazon ( as of a few days ago) and they are amazing Wireless as well. If you don't want surround sound the x32 is only 100 and is 100 dollars. You can use any xbox headset
    like the x12 x42 and x32( I figure since there like the 42 but using RCA cables ) for game sound ...but you cant do Chat on the ps3 ( Though I researched this a bit and if you supposedly buy a USB sound card and plug it into the ps3 the x12 should work with
    chat, which you can find off amazon for like 2 dollars which is better then the 20 some odd for turtle beach amigo thing )

    Turtle Beach Headsets Question

    Thinking about grabbing a headset, have never had one for gaming before. Looks like my options are going to be x32,x42 or XP500(I'm going with these as my local retailer has them). My question is, which is the best value? I don't care about the chat functionality,
    I want it for the sound.

    I didn't even think of fiddling with the settings. I got it working! I changed optical from bitstream to stereo and it started working. I then saw your post and set it up your way and it sounds even better. Thanks!

    Hi Dante! Are you connected to the console via Optical cable? If so, have you tried switching your Optical Audio mode to Dolby Digital instead of DTS? I know for some reason my Tritton's are not receiving the DTS signal properly, but as soon as I switch
    it to DD, it works perfectly.

    Need Help With Headset

    Hello, there!

    I've used alot of different headsets (Turtle Beaches, Astros, Tritons, Microsoft), and for Halo and CoD, I'd reccomend buying Turtle Beaches. I'm not sure about Forza, as I don't have much experience in that game (And by that, I mean none at all), but
    my experience with FPSs, Turtle Beaches are best for quality and price. XP500s are incredible, but I'd recommend getting Turtle Beach X42s. They're $160 USD, Have great specs, and a reasonable price. If you can't afford X42, X32s will work just fine.
