Turtle Beach XO Seven No Chat / Crazy Acting Controllers

Hi folks, if I'm missing a reply to this post, I apologize in advance.

I recently purchased the Turtle Beach XO Seven and that came with the XOne adapter for the wireless controller. I ran the update on my controllers, and started a game. The volume mix is great and sounds amazing. I can hear the game and other players, but
I'm unable to chat or be heard through the mic.

I went to the Turtle Beach site and did the troubleshooting steps they provided (testing the mic through a mobile phone) and everything checked out fine and the final steps were to come to the XBOX site for further troubleshooting. I did this, updated my
controllers (two of them, one adapter) again per their recommendation, and what happened after was strange... during a game, the controller froze, the sound went wonky and the xbox said my controller had disconnected. I shut down the system, and the controller
stayed on. When I powered back up, the controller was still frozen. I removed the batteries, reset the controller, and went back into the game, this time with chat! I could speak and be heard.

After the session, I charged up the controller, returned the following day and again, no mic. The controller once more froze and the sound went crazy, I pulled out the batteries, and could be heard again... but it was short lived.

I noticed that when I start the system with the controller, rather than talking to the Kinect, the mic will work out of the gate but, again, it doesn't last too long before the controller freezes. And sometimes, I don't have chat ability at all.

I don't think this is a Turtle Beach issue, but I can't figure out where the problem is. Has anyone had this issue, or discussed a similar problem? Again, the sound is great and the mix in the headset between others chatting and game audio is stellar, which
leads me to believe it's not the adapter, but the controllers are acting up after the update and I rarely have voice. Thanks for any insight!

Glad to know I'm not the only one having this issue. When I took my XO4's back to GameStop they told me that I was the first person to have an issue. The headsets will work for like a day then a strange noise comes through the headset the controller freezes
and when you reset everything you have no chat volume. A couple days later you lose game volume. This needs to get fixed ASAP

I have the same problem... I contacted Turtle Beach directly. They sent a email saying what you said above, check mic via mobile phone ect. For me the problem has not been resolved and neither MS or Turtle beach knows what the problem is. I got the It's
not "our" hardware from turtle beach.

Yea similar problem on my XO4's. Game and other people's chat comes through fine, but in terms of my voice the headset doesn't work, meaning either the kinect picks it up and you sound distant to everyone else or if the kinect is off you suffer with no voice.

It seems a pretty widespread problem, especially looking at the link Infamus put up. Best quickfix people have found so far is going to Xbox home screen, and re-signing in so it re-syncs the headset to player 1 (Use the 'sign me in' and 'choose this player'
commands).

Hope this helps and hopefully a fix from Microsofts end comes through soon

I had my Xbox One for just under 3 weeks. Today, I bought XO Fours Turtle Beach headphones and plugged them in. It prompted me to update my controller by plugging it in via USB. I plugged it in and the controller NEVER WORKED AGAIN.

I tried EVERYTHING. It did not work wired, wirelessly, or through the kinnect sensor. After 30 useless minutes on the line with Microsoft Customer Support, I was told to ship the controller back to them, at my expense, and wait 2-3 weeks for a new one (rendering
my brand-new xbox one useless for 2-3 weeks).

Instead, I returned it to Best Buy (who were great!) and got a new one, with new headphones.

UNFORTUNATELY, my second xbox one gave me an error message when initially updating the system. I literally entered my language, country and confirmed my network connection, before it would get stuck at the update stage.

I have received a full refund for my xbox one and am waiting for a PS4.
