Turtle Beach XO Seven Making Controller Freeze

Every once in a while the controller will stop working with the console (usually right in the middle of a game). The Xbox light is still lit on the controller, but it won't respond when I press buttons. I have to take the battery pack out and put it back
in so I can restart the controller. Is this an issue with the headset, or is this a possible bug with the new controller update? Has anyone else experienced this?

It has happen to me as well and haven't been able to find much info on this problem.

 

I've got the same problem and so do many others it's not just XO7's people with polk 4 shot and A40's are posting the same problem.I Think it's something to do with the chat adapter update.I updated my day one controller via the system settings menu but
when i put the new chat adapter that came with XO7 headset in it forced another update.Now when using the headset with the controller I get frequent disconnects,the controller light is still on but the only way to make it go again is to pull out the batteries
and put them back in again.I tested my other controller with XO7 headset last night and no problems at all I only updated that controller in the system settings it didn't get forced to update with the chat adapter.Also my day one controller seems to work fine
without the headset or headset adapter plugged in,I used the same official MS plug and charge kit batteries in both controllers.I contacted Turtle Beach and they said to contact MS because it's most likely a controller issue.I've posted in several support
forums around here no official response yet.

 

Thank you, Joey, for the response. I'm just happy (is that the right word?) that it's not just mine glitching up and it's a known issue that can hopefully be patched down the road.

 

I talked with MS support chat, he told me to put my console on energy saving mode.Then go into Network, Advanced settings, Alternate Mac address, Then Clear.The Xbox will restart, Don't ask me why or how but this seems to have worked for me! I've been playing
for hours with the XO7's without a single controller freeze.He also recommended I hold down the power button until the Xbox shuts down then unplug it from the wall and any connections for at least 1 hour.So far so good I hope it works for others as well.

 

I am also having the same problem with my controller freezing and requiring the batteries to be pulled. I am using a regular set of audio headphones when I experience the issue. Hopefully this problem will be addressed.

 

Happened twice to me on Saturday playing Titanfall. Using freshly updated titanfall controller and XO headset.

I not only have an xbox that crashes frequently, now I have a controller that does it too!

 

experiencing the same problem myself, more so with Titanfall than any other games!

 

I wish I had bought a ps4 at this point because honestly with this controller freezing issue, Sub par graphics, useless friend / party system (compared to 360) and Kinect (I play real games not casual sports games and gimmicks). Never thought I'd get buyers
remorse with an Xbox but there you go.

I have the x32's and I have the same problems grrr just had to get a dif Kinect last week because a shadow was showing up on cam

 

I read in a thread somewhere on this forum that people went into their settings and cleared their alternative MAC address and let the console reset. I tried that and I haven't had any recent issues with my controller shutting off.

 

My controller with TB XO Sevens dies absolutely every single time I play. Sometimes it freezes within five minutes of playing and then four to ten more times within an hour, and other times it freezes once in an hour. Without fail, it fails. Xbox One has
had SO many glitches my buddy is threatening selling his system and that would mean I would have to do the same. We play daily on Xbox Live and have for years, but it is one headache after another. Xbox sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I'm having the same problem just started happening after I put the stereo adapter and xo sevens plus update happens at least once or twice while playing titan fall. I was on support for hours with Xbox and no answers on how to fix the problem other then
send my Xbox off for repairs. I'm glad I bought a ps4 cuz I'm getting sick of all the issues with my Xbox!!
