    So i am using these headphones for my xbox one currently.

    So will the head adapter be able to allow me to both chat and receive game audio through the headset? I am a tad confused on this part. I am not sure if the chat cable that turtle beach provided will work with the adapter. Any help?

    I'd stick with wireless, it may have just been your headset. I use my old Turtle Beach X42's. They're discontinued now but you can usually find a pair at your local gamestop or amazon for about $60, they used to be $160. They use an optical cable and have great surround sound when you set them up right. Most of the wireless Turtle Beach headsets will work like this, except the actual XO series that was designed for the Xbox ONE. They connect through your controller.

    Xbox one headset(Chat) is a poor design

    I have turtle beach x42 they great and can work on both xbox 360 and xbox 1. I dont want to fork out hundreds of dollars on another headset when my current one works great. You get both folby game sound and chat with the x42. I understand you need a chat
    adaptor for xbox 1 but 99% of the time i use the xbox 1 kinect and the rest i use the headset which came with my xbox 1 console. Games and music and video sounds still play beautiful with my turtle beach x42s because it uses optical port connection which both
    xbox 360 slim and xbox 1 consoles have.
