Turtle Beach X41 - ECHO Problem

I have the Turtle Beach X41 and got the Xbox One Headset Adapter. I am able to hear the game sound normal through headset (although not sure if it's in surround sound yet) however when i'm party chat, whenever people talk they hear an echo of their voice.

Now on the Xbox 360 all i had to do was change party chat to play through speakers instead of headset to eliminate the echo. Now, i'm unable to determine how to fix this issue on the Xbox One.

Please help.

If you'd like. I'd go with an Astro MixAmp, but that's because I have one and tried a few other options (Tritton AX Pro and Turtle Beach X41). Both hissed, with the X41 being worse than the Tritton. I'm sure the X41's problem was that it was wireless, but
that put me off Turtle Beach, especially since Astro's MixAmp 5.8 has no such issues.

Same headset and same problem. If I have the chat volume turned up on the controller accessory, I hear an echo of everything. When I turn it down, It plays fine, but I can't hear anyone

 

Actually... This fixed it.

NOTE: The Xbox One System Update released on 3/4/14 enabled Dolby Digital 5.1 on the Xbox One. If you do not see a Dolby Digital 5.1 option under the Optical Output sound settings, make sure your console is fully up to date.

To configure the Sound Settings:

1. Go to the Home Screen

2. Press the Menu Button on the Xbox One Controller

3. Go to Settings > Display and Sound > Optical Audio, Select 'Bitstream Out'

4. Go to Settings > Display and Sound > Bitstream Format, Select 'Dolby Digital'

Hey did you figure out the solution to echo problem? I'm having the same issue with my Polk 4 Shots. When I'm in a party everyone says that their voices are echoing.

 

I hate to break it to you, but there is nothing fixed. I did all the things that Turtle beach said to and the echo & poor quality of sound continues. Everything sounds perfect when the volume is down on the adapter..... but when you raise the volume to heat
in-game or party-chat, the quality of the overall sound degrades to the sound of a clock radio speaker. And in addition, everything echo's as stated above. I ensure you, all settings are correct. C'mon support..... let's get this straight?

So I have my x41's working properly for both party/game chat and surround sound. I have my optical audio cord hooked up directly to my base station from the xbox one and my chat cord connecting my headset and controller. The xbox optical audio set as bitstream
out and the format is dolby digital. I have the audio balance on the adapter set to 100% chat. That gives me surround sound and chat.
