    Turtle Beach X41 Compatibility


    I'll be upgrading to the Xbox One this week, and I'd like to know exactly how to set up my particular headset with the console.

    Since the One uses HDMI and not RCA cables, an optical Toslink S/PDIF audio cable that connects the console to the X41's transmitter is required.

    My problem is that I no longer have the optical cable that came with my X41s. Would any cable work? (i.e. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/insigni...lack/4409046.p?id=1219098795291&skuId=4409046 or

    In addition, I'll also need the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter, although I'm not sure why. Could someone clarify? Do I need anything else?

    You need the xbox one headset adapter for chat you get the required chat cable with the adapter so nothing else is needed.

    I don't see you having a problem with that digital cable but not 100%, you could get the proper cable from Turtle Beach.

    If you do not have a chat cable to connect your Headset to the Xbox One Headset adapter you will need one for voice chat.

    I bought this one for my Turtle Beach XP400

    I appreciate your feedback, guys. It seems any optical cable will work. I was just worried that my transmitter had its own Turtle Beach-produced cable and that any regular ones sold in stores wouldn't work.

    Optical cable connects Xbox and transmitter, adapter allows chat. Everything is working perfectly.

    I used the x41 for at least 6months with the xb1,had no issues at all even with the chat adapter.a great headset works well with the xb1,I've upgraded now to the xp500 and again no probs but upgraded to have Bluetooth for me phone and presets.

    The Turtle Beach XBA Bluetooth Adapter will not work on the Turtle Beach X41's.....It will work on the XP500/XP400/XP300/PX5 only!
