Turtle Beach x12 Headset Others Can't Hear Me In Chat

I have a Turtle Beach X12 headset, which I plug into my controller via an EarForce Headset Audio Controller. Since the headset splits into 3 short wires (pink, green and USB) I bought a USB extension cable so that I can power the headset and still reach
the controller. This works fine for in-game audio, and I can hear others chat just fine. But when I try to use the mic no one can hear me. Mic volume is all the way up, mute is off, controller is updated. Not sure what the problem could be.

Turtle Beach x12 Chat issues

Hi all. First post. We have two Turtle Beach x12 headsets. We piggybacked them and both are hooked up exactly the same. Everything works fine except you cannot hear chat on the set connected to the player 2 controller. You can hear game audio and other
players can hear player 2 speaking, but player 2 can't hear others. Anyone else experience this?

 

my party can hear me but I can't hear them

I have the headset my xbox one came with and a pair of turtle beach x12, when I'm playing online players in my group can hear me but I can't hear them. Any ideas?

You can try updating your controller and see if this works. Follow the steps on the following article:

support.xbox.com/.../update-controller-for-stereo-headset-adapter

If this doesn't work please let me know.
