  1. Turtle Beach Recon 50p 3.5mm (1/8") to RCA (Red & White) audio

SO I have one of the original released Xbox Ones from a few months after it's initial release (less than 3 months). I had the wireless controller that came with it but I began to have stick drift problems in the left thumb stick. Took back to retailer and
they wouldn't do anything since it had been about 6 months after I purchased it (no protection plan, always buy these, they are only a couple of bucks.. Lesson #1). So I bought the combat controller and within 6 months, stick drift AGAIN, SAME thumbstick.
Again I didn't think I needed a protection plan for a controller, I mean, after all I WAS paying 60 f'n dollars for this thing, it SHOULD last. (Lesson #2, Everything is f'n CHEAP nowadays!) I began Googling to find out everyone was having this problem. I
followed several videos in regards to ripping controller apart to "fix" the stick drift which consisted of alcohol with a q-tip, removing the gray clip on the side of the thumbstick, and when that didn't work I put the thumbstick back and applied super glue
to it since it was cheap and breakable plastic. STILL drifting on the left stick. Then my original XB360 Turtle Beaches wire pulled loose where they insert into the ear piece. I figured, WHY NOT just buy a new headset. Unbeknownst to myself that all the NEW
headsets plug into controllers with a 3.5mm jack. OK, I get the convenience, less cable, it's right there; everyone wants to be WIRELESS. Personally, I liked my old turtle beaches that plugged in with a USB and RCA (Red and White cable). They lasted 5 years,
so I got my money's worth.

I told you all of that because, well I figure maybe some poor guy in a similar situation will come around looking for useful tips and information. There is little to no resources on the internet anymore. It's just all social media trash and trying to use
it to solve a problem is all but pointless and frustrating. Now that I have written an essay let me explain my problem and ask ONE simple questions......

I have an RCA (Red & White cables) to 3.5mm (1/8" standard headphone jack) conversion, as well as a 1/8" (3.5mm) Female to Female coupling. Essentially what I have is the red & white cables plugged to the A/V output on my TV, into the coupler and then the
other end of the coupler I have my 3.5mm (1/8") Turtle Beaches plugged into, bridging the gap of time. However, I am getting no audio in my headphones. Previously, with my old TBs, I got audio in them directly from the TV whether I was gaming on my Xbox One,
or watching TV. I rebooted EVERYTHING (TV off, xbox off), reboot, and I could hear a slight noise in the headphones, but no audio. My ONLY guess is that the Recon 50p requires a power source (the previous ones used a USB source) in order to work.

Is this possible to get this to work? Have I overlooked something(Settings in Xbox dashboard or TV)? Should I just avoid all the hypothetical answers and submit a support ticket directly to TB?

    :)

Turtle beach x12 no red av cable

So what ur sayin' is dat da tertle briches doesn't come wit da ROJO av cable and your TV only has the white RCA port?

    -

Lol in english, turtle beaches get audio from either an optical port or the red and white RCA splitter cables depending on the model. assuming you ordered ones that are stereo RCA (red and white), you need to utilize both RCA connectors to get both stereo
channels. So your TV only has the 1 white port, correct?

    -

I don't think that should matter since you would connect them from your Xbox 360's AV port audio connectors into the turtle beaches RCA female side. Then connect the 1 white RCA cord to your TV's white RCA audio port.

Please correct and clarify anything that i have said to be wrong.

On my tv I just put the red and white cables from the turtle beaches straight into the audio out red and white ports but the monitor has no audio out ports or a headphone jack so would I need a optical to 3.5mm or something like that?

And yes I just want it for game audio

I also forgot to mention the whole reason I am trying to plug my headset into the TV and/or Xbox instead of the controller is because I after the combat controller, I purchased a Power A controller that has no 3.5mm port in it, and the power a controller
has not given me ANY problems, I love it and I do NOT want to spend a chunk of change on another controller.

    3.5mm jack to RCA?

Yes, if the regular headphones are getting sound from the headphone jack of the tv, the 3.5mm to RCA adapter should work for getting sound to your turtle beaches. You probably already checked for audio out RCA jacks on the back of the tv?

Connecting my xbox 360 to a monitor without av inputs

But the red/white audio cables they come with are male ports. I could plug those male ports into the female ports on the turtle beach red/white audio cables, but there's still nowhere for the male ports of my turtle beaches to go. The VGA adapters are sold
under the premise that whatever setup you use for them allows you to simply plug in the VGA for picture and have red/white ports available for audio.
