    Turtle beach headset not working on one controller.


    So i have two controllers one regular xbox one controller (white) and 1 black & red controller. The headset works on the white controller but not on the red one, also when pluged into the red one it show on the home screen in the top right corner that
    the mic is turned off . It was working then one day it seemed to have neen turned off.

    Turtle Beach x12 Headset Does Not Receive Audio

    Turtle Beaches currently are not compatible with the Xbox One.

    Turtle Beach are working on making Xbox one headsets.

    No sound on headset or mic for XO Three Gaming Headset Wired connected to a wireless controller

    Purchased a new Ear Force XO Three Gaming Headset(Turtle Beach) and a wireless controller. Connected the headset to the wireless controller and attempted setup on X Box One Console. However, we have no sound on headset and mic is not working.

    Any ideas?

    Hello Erin,

    It seems that the Turtle Beach headset is not recognized when connected to one of the controllers.

    Is the red controller a Xbox One Wireless Controller? Or is it wired into the console?

    If wired, attempt different USB connection ports, and if wireless attempt to plug the controller directly into the console to see if this is the same result.

    If it is still the same result without the headset being recognized, then the controller may need to be replaced.

    You may also reach out to our Customer Support Team to investigate further.

    Try this out and let us know how this goes.

    Turtle Beach X41 - Volume Issue

    I got an email from TB,

    "The Xbox One Update has to be applied to your Xbox One controller and console before your Turtle Beach headset will work properly. This update is supplied by Microsoft Corp., not by Turtle Beach.

    The headsets themselves do not have firmware to be updated. The update is for the Xbox One Controller and Adapter to allow chat and/or game audio to be sent from the controller.

    Your headset may get some sound from the Xbox One controller, even before you apply the update. However, the sound may be distorted or not work at all. To get the best experience from your Turtle Beach headset, you'll need to update the controller before
    using your Turtle Beach headset."

    Wired and wireless

    most of the time audio via usb is not supported on xbox, you could get one of those turtle beach headsets with a base station that plug into optical but not sure how that works really as never owned one.

    i did use a turtle beach adapter which stopped all interference though, that plugs into controller and headset into that, they work quite well.
