Turtle Beach headset issue in Party Chat

I recently picked up a Turtle Beach XO Four and am having issues with the mic in party chat. Iv updated the controller and everything seemed to be working fine. Others could hear me while I played Titanfall and I tested a voice over in Upload Studio. However
when I entered a Party Chat with some friends no one could hear me. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

What do you mean by headsets? Turtle Beach and other 3rd party headsets or new official chat headsets being released?

 

Turtle Beach 500x - no chat following update

Exact same issue here for my buddy and I.

I have the Turtle Beach Elite 800X, old Xbox One Dashboard.

My buddy has the Turtle Beach Stealth 500X, new Xbox One Dashboad.

About two days ago, game sound is fine, but in party chat we can't hear anyone else, as where everyone else can hear us fine and each other(they don't have Turtle beach headsets)

Starting to think it's an issue with only TBs.

 

This isn't necessarily an issue with the headset. It happens some times. Before joining a party, start up a party by yourself and make sure you're putting out audio by checking to see if the little green circle lights up when you speak.

Then try joining the party again, or inviting your friends to your party. If that doesn't work, try doing a hard reboot. Hold down the power button on your console until it shuts off. Give it a minute or two before turning it back on.

 

Someone mention in another thread I think it was Az, that if there is no green ring (mic indicator) in the party screen, that means your in the party but not in the party chat, press the menu button and select party chat.

I used to get this issue a lot, since I changed to energy save mode, I have never had this issue.

 

Thank you all for the help! I got it working by opening a chat by myself when I started up my Xbox again. I will keep these tips in mind if it happens again.

 

I have found that if Kinect signs me in, my headset sometimes won't work. If I go to the dashboard and select my character to sign in and select 'Choose this person', my headset begins working right away. It seems like when signing in with Kinect, the
xbox one doesn't always know which controller you are using.

It doesn't happen very often, but when it does, this method always seems to work.

Hello, I have the same problem. Is there a solution for this ? They work great but with the xbox party app they do not work at all, I cant hear people, they cant hear me.

I had similar issues playing Ghosts. Several things. It seems that the timing played a factor in this issue. I noticed that when i had loaded the game completely and then powered on my headset i would sometimes have this issue. The solution in this case
was to quit the game, relaunch it and reform the party.

I am not convinced that the chat cable is exactly plug and play, i have mixed success with this, just throwing that out there.

Also, it seemed that xbox one had some issues with my router i was using. It was an old Belkin G router (my xbox was wired to it) and i had issues forming parties and intermittent chat problems as well. I recently bought a netgear xyz and all party problems
have gone away.

Not sure if any of this helps, but i can echo similar experiences at least.

 

i have this annoying issue as well...is this why there isnt voice messaging because MS doesnt know how to do something that was simple and worked fine on their older system? Almost a year later and they still cant get party chats to work right, still cant
send voice messages....very disheartening, also very concerning.

I'm actually having the same problem since the update. Party chat, both in game (Neverwinter) and Xbox's Party Chat app, disconnects the mic on my headset. The headset and mic both work in party chat before someone joins but as soon as someone connects with
me they hear me for only a second and then it disconnects my mic. I've hosted the party, I've had others host the party, makes no difference. It's not muted. It works fine in Skype. I've tried partying with different users. I've tried updating the controller
and headset adapter but no updates available. I've tried different controllers. I've tried different headsets as well and the only headset that will work is the crappy one that came with the Xbox. I've hard reset the console. I've booted it up with headset
already plugged in then signed in w/controller (instead of kinect) then loaded into my game and still same issue. I've gone into every setting imaginable and still no go. Any help would be immensely appreciated.
