    hi just bought a turtle headset and mic for my sons xbox one s plugged it into the wireless controller and no sound or mic is working i have had it checkedand its not broken any ideas

    A standard xbox chat headset wont do game sounds you would need to upgrade to a Turtle beach or comparable headset

    headphone issue

    To me it sound like an issue with the headset itself. I am fairly sure the wire connections for game sound and voice sound on Turtle Beach headsets are different so this may be why you get voice sound through both ear cups and only game sound through one,
    I would head over to the Turtle Beach site and contact them regarding the issue.

    The reason you wont get any game sound through your standard Xbox 360 headset is because it is only compatible for voice chat.
