    According to the reviews , these have a mixed opinion. Does anyone have first hand knowledge if the internal voice chat microphone works correctly and is as good as the default headset that comes in the box with the Xb1 ? .

    Apparently some say the the voice chat is terrible , any comments much appreciated , thanks .

    Headphones for Xbox One/X

    I'm looking at getting the Turtle Beach Elite 800X wireless headphones that are compatible with the Xbox One. Anyone know if they will work with the X too? Don't want to buy them then find out they can't be used come November.

    Best Xbox One headset available?

    What is considered the consensus #1 Xbox One headset? Price does not matter.

    I need it to be wireless to the console, as the console is 40 feet away in a separate media closet. But requiring a wire from the controller to the headset is ok with me.

    I have preordered the new Turtle Beach Stealth 500X for $229.95, but I am getting cold feet. There is a Turtle Beach Stealth 500P for PS4 that has been out for a bit but the reviews are average. The thing that REALLY turns me off is that the 500X has the same exact specs as the 500P, and the 500P costs only $129.95 and the 500X is $229.95! Pretty ridiculous for the same thing on a different system.

    The TB Elite 800 headset says it is for PS4 and PS3. It lists for $299.99. Can't believe they don't have an equivalent for Xbox One (yet?). A reporter asked the TB rep if there was an Elite 800 coming for Xbox One and he said (skip to 4:10):

    So maybe I should just hold out till they come out with an elite 800 for Xbox One? Or does anybody know of a top notch headset that is currently on the market that will work for my situation.

    Depends on the money you want to spend. I went all out and got the Turtle Beach 800 elite wireless headset. Its the best headset I've ever owned hands down... and I've bought (and broken...lol) a lot of them. Check em out. Can't go wrong with anything
    Turtle Beach X12 or better.
