    Turtle Beach Ear Force Adapter VS Microsoft Adapter


    For all my Xbox ONE Gamers, question on Legacy Headsets mainly pertaining to Turtle Beach owners. Is there an added benefit going with the Turtle beach Adapter

    Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter

    Hello,

    I am looking for advise on a good adapter that will allow me to use my Turtle Beach Ear Force XP300 earphones with the xbox one. I have read that the adapter sold by gamestop does not work. Has anyone purchased an adapter that works well? Is there any news on new adapters that will be coming out? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

    Turtle Beach Ear Force Adapter VS Microsoft Adapter

    I would go with the MS one since it's even what TB recommend on their own site for it. Also if you buy the TB headset adapter it doesn't even come with the 3.5mm TRRS 4 pole to 2.5mm TRS 2 pole adapter you would need for it to work with your x41 which isn't
    easy to find. So it's cheaper and has the cable you need.

    One thing I would recommend doing with the MS one is zip tie the to ends of the adapter cable together. A lot of people have been complaining about it cutting in and out which happens when the enamel on the wires inside the insulating wears and it starts
    shorting. This is my
    adapter zip tied     together so it can't flail around. You can tell the insulation is pretty thin as well.

    Ear Force xp500     If you look at the how it works it shows a blu tooth adapter plugged up to the 360 controller. The wireless on your turtle beach probably means its not powered through use of a usb port.

    If you use the adapter from xbox you will not be able to have mic monitoring. you can buy an adapter from turtle beach that allows mic monitoring. Xbox is being really dumb not letting people use mic monitoring with the xbox adapters

    I picked up a pair of Turtle Beach Ear Force One headphones, on sale for $40 last week. The box contained the gamepad adapter, too. I consider them a great deal, for the price.

    No idea about the more expensive ones. :)
