    Turtle Beach DSS connection question for my setup


    Hey Xbox Forums, I hope for a super fast answer! Here is the problem, you need to be an expert or technic pro to understand what im talking about here.

    It's about my setup, 1 Xbox 360 Slim, 1 HD Ready computer screen (with no sound) and my stereo speakers.

    My xbox 360 is beeing used to transmit sound and video
    separatly, I use the HDMI input for the HD computer screen
    (with no sound)

    SOUND: The AV cable wich is connected from the AV input of the xbox that goes to the left and right inputs of my speakers is connected to my stereo speakers so i can hear the sound.

    VIDEO: I had a normal Xbox 360 AV cable for the sound and it's not gonna allow you to insert your HDMI cable when you plug it in your Xbox so
    i broke the AV cable HDMI's protection and then i plugged the HDMI cable with the normal AV cable connected at the same time and it works!
    (HDMI cable with and AVG adapter)

    (Recomended for users with a computer screen with no HDMI input or sound)

    Im about to get a Turtle Beach DSS and a new headset, it's the Ear Force X12 EU and the things that I know about this is that it's alot of cables wich makes me crazy when I start to plan how to connect everything,

    It would be so kind of you if you found out if I can connect the DSS while having this kind of setup!!!!!!

    I just want to know about the DSS connection to my setup because im going to get the headset anyways and im at least able to connect the headset I know how to connect the headset but I dont know anything about the DSS connection,
    only what it does.

    Headset options?

    The DSS should work with any headset for the 360, just plug it in as you would a turtle beach, you have the in-line controller from the headset plug into the green connector then plug the 3.5 jack into the DSS, and for xbox chat you would just connect the
    3.5 to 2.5 jack from the in-line headset control to the xbox pad.

    I haven't actually seen the setup with other headsets but it should work the same, turtle beach says you can use any headset with the DSS.

    Does anyone have the Turtle Beach X12 with DSS?

    Hi. I want to get the Turtle Beach X12 and DSS but I need some help with 2 questions first..

    1. Do i need the HDMI Audio Adapter if I'm getting the DSS also? Or does the DSS take care of that?

    2. Will X12 + DSS work on a Mac? I don't want to use the mic on my Mac, I just want to watch movies with Surround Sound.

    Xbox One Headset- Can't hear anything

    I am having the same issue. Here is my setup:

    1.) Headset is plugged into a Turtle Beach DSS (Dolby Surround Sound Processor).

    2.) Turtle Beach DSS is plugged into the Optical Audio port of the Xbox One.

    3.) Headset's 3.5mm Mic cable is plugged into a 3.5mm (3 Position) to 3.5mm (4 Position) cable that is then plugged into the Chat Adapter.

    My friend's can hear me talking (so the mic is working) but I cannot hear them. The Mute button works, but all other buttons make no sound. Turtle Beach says to hold the Chat Balance button until it beeps, but nothing happens (does not make a sound).

    This is quite annoying.

    Sennheiser HD598 with Turtle Beach DSS. If i need to chat, i use Kinect.

    yep turtle beach X12 and Earforce DSS virtual surround , if you could hear enemies i would...........but i hear nothing!
