Turtle Beach Compalitity

Hi, I was thinking with an Xbox One, to have a pair of Turtle Beach headphones? Do any of you have Turtle Beaches and do they work as advertised?

Also, I would like to use them interchangeably with Xbox One and Xbox 360, do all headphones are compatible? If not, which ones will work and any extra dongles?

I picked up a pair of Turtle Beach Ear Force One headphones, on sale for $40 last week. The box contained the gamepad adapter, too. I consider them a great deal, for the price.

No idea about the more expensive ones.

 

Most headsets will work with both. I however would stay away from Turtle Beach headsets. If you're looking for a "Gaming" headset I'd go with Astro and if those are out of your budget I'd go with the Skull Candy PLYR 1s. Turtle beach would be my last resort
unless you're just looking for something cheap and don't care about sound quality.

 

I have the TurtleBeach X42. I brought it for Xbox 360 and it works on Xbox 1. It should work if it's one of the later models with an HDMI connector, or an Optical Port connector which the X42's have. My retail store said I would need a chat adaptor from
Microsoft if I wanted to use it for chat on Xbox 1. It beats forking out what NZ$300+ for a headset which perhaps can ONLY work on Xbox 1.

 

I have the XO 7's and they work flawlessly

 

^So do I. They were designed specifically for the Xbox One, though. The sound quality is also excellent. Don't listen to any grubs who try to claim otherwise.

 

I have the Turtle Beach Ear Force One headphones and they are great and work great.

 

Been using Turtle Beach for the last five years in various forms, always great quality and superb audio anyone who says otherwise has wax in their ears.

 

I bought the X41's for the 360. They work with the Xbox One via toslink optical but you need the adapter if you want to chat.

 

X42s here. Had no dramas with either system!

 

I'm using my set from the 360 days, I think it's the X31/41...and they work flawlessly with the adapter.

 

I asked about this a month ago and ended up getting the turtle beach x12 headset. With the xbox one controller headset adapter and it's cabe this headset works great. I have it wired into my TV and use it for everything.
