  3. Turtle Beach 800X Headset still connected after headset powering off...

    Hello,

my Turtle Beach 800X Headset works fine with the Xbox one.

But if I want to change from the Turtle Beach 800X Headset to another Chat only Headset like the Microsoft Xbox One Chat Headset it still keeps connect to the xbox one.

That means that each other headset is not working because the xbox one thinks that the 800X is still connected.

When I go to setting I see that there is the headset connected to my gamertag. In the settings there is no possibility to disconnect the headset manually.

So if I once have powered on the Turtle Beach 800X Headset I can´t connect another headset without powering off the whole Xbox one console.

Anyone have the same issue? Is there an solution for this?

    Regards

    Patrick

    Hey buddy.

It's most likely interference from the console. Try moving the base station for the headset further away from the console.

I had the same issue, I think the wireless adapter in the new One S is in a different place and/or stronger than the previous console.

Also you could try rebooting your wireless router. if you shut down everything EXCEPT the headset, then reboot your router, if they are currently running on the same channel, hopefully your router will recognise that while it is initialising and change the
    channel accordingly.

Hopefully one of those two will work for you. If not, please come back and we can look at other options.

Are you using the same optical cable and USB cables to connect it to the Xbox S by chance?

I have a set of Elite 800's and I have a similar problem from time to time. If you haven't tried a hard reset of the headset try this...It works for me when my headset tweaks out:

    1. make sure the headset is powered on and connected to the receiver and Xbox properly via wireless (you can hear sound) without them charging via USB

    2. disconnect the optical cable and USB that connects the Xbox One Console to the headset base, leaving only the power on for the headset itself (the green TB symbol on the headset base should now be off completely)

    3. Hold the power button down on the headset for 5-10 sec until it says "Powering Off".

    4. IMPORTANT - Remove the headset from your ears but keep it close enough (12" away from your ear) so you can hear the small *pop* sound of the discharge in the next step

    5. Hold the MUTE button in for 15-30 seconds or until you hear the small *pop* come through the headset speakers.

**This completely discharges the capacitors in the headset of any and all power-besides what the batteries themselves are holding. it's basically like a hard reset of your console.**

    6. Place the headset on the base.

    7. Reconnect the USB and Optical cables to the console.

    8. Put the headset back on your head and power them back up.

**Don't freak out if it does not sync right away**

    9. If it does not sync, hold down the pairing button on the back of the headset base and do a simple power cycle of the headset.

    10. Once it re-syncs test it out.

This should help solve the connectivity issues your having. If the popping persists, you may need to invest in another type of headset, or get with Turtle Beach in regards to being ELITE. If you didn't sign up with the ELite program after buying
that headset, sign up now and then get with their customer service department. There pretty cool over there about any and all issues. Let me know how you make out, brother!

Zeph, have you tried updating the controller with the chat pad connected? It sounds like the receiver for the headset doesn;t like the chat pad at all... Have you tried wiring the controller into the console with the chat pad connected and seeing if it
still gives you issues? Maybe that will bypass the wireless interference... let us know buddy!
