Turtle Beach 800X Headset still connected after headset powering off...

Hello,

my Turtle Beach 800X Headset works fine with the Xbox one.

But if I want to change from the Turtle Beach 800X Headset to another Chat only Headset like the Microsoft Xbox One Chat Headset it still keeps connect to the xbox one.

That means that each other headset is not working because the xbox one thinks that the 800X is still connected.

When I go to setting I see that there is the headset connected to my gamertag. In the settings there is no possibility to disconnect the headset manually.

So if I once have powered on the Turtle Beach 800X Headset I can´t connect another headset without powering off the whole Xbox one console.

Anyone have the same issue? Is there an solution for this?

Turtle Beach Elite 800X

Hi, there is no app available on the Xbox One for the Turtle beach headset. There is one available from Turtle beach website for Windows/Android/Mac/iOS though. here is the link Turtle Beach® Audio Hub - Download Firmware Updates
and the app is compatible with the 800X headset.

 

I used to use the older Turtle Beach 500X before I switched to the Astro A50 and I had to physically disconnect the transmitter and headset from the Xbox One entirely before I could get proper chat/game audio with another headset. Try powering down your
console with energy saving mode, disconnect the 800X transmitter and headset entirely from the console including any digital optical cables that may be connected to the transmitter, then power up again and now try your chat headset it should work. The reason
why I say to power down the console before disconnecting it is to ensure you don't ruin the console or headset and to ensure that it doesn't glitch up and think that still have it connected or something else that may be weird. Good Luck

 

This solves the problem by physically disconnecting the transmitter from the Xbox One by simple pulling the USB cable.

Under Kinect & Devices, select Devices & accessories then you see immediately disappearing the Headphone "Icon".

So now you can connect another headphone.

This is a inconvenient way to physically disconnecting the transmitter from the Xbox One.

There should be a setting to assign the headset the user want to without physically disconnecting another headset.

This should be possible, shouldn´t it?
