  1. Turning on HDR causes TV to “de-sync” frequently.

Over the last two weeks I’ve noticed frequent disconnects in HDR titles. Basically the TV will act as if an input has been changed and turn black, then after a minute it will re-sync with the Xbox and turn back on. I have tried this with two separate Xbox’s, and both are part of the beta ring. I have tried different HDMI cables and also different inputs on both TVs. I’ve even factory reset my X trying to solve the problem to no effect. The title that most accurately reproduces this issue consistently is Halo:MCC.

If I go into the Xbox dashboard and turn off support for HDR it solves the problem.

The Xbox One S and my tv

My TV (LG 60UF7300) has the HDMI Ultra HD Deep Color as well. According to the Xbox One S support page, this is another name for HDR 10. Unfortunately, I've been having an issue with the Ultra HD Deep Color turned on. It's causing my screen to flash black
pretty frequently. It also says that HDR is turned off and that I can turn it on on a different menu, but the option is not selectable.

    Hello

If you have a 4K HDR TV you would need to Enable HDR in the Settings of your TV.

Many TV manufacturer disabled HDR and it needs to be turned on manually.

Screen dims slightly after 5 minutes.

If the TV has HDR, try turning off the HDR settings or turning them on. Perhaps the color space is accurately set up on the Xbox for the TV to display it properly.

    you could try this,

Turn HDR off on your Xbox...only turn it on when you are going to watch HDR content on Netflix. Netflix puts your TV into HDR mode as soon as you launch the app so your TV thinks it's HDR content even
    when it's not.
