Turning off Xbox one, turns Comcast box off and on again immediately

Hi,

when I turn off my Xbox one (using controller or "xbox turn off" command), my Comcast box turns off and on again, making "Xbox on" command turn it off and I need to turn it on using box's remote controller. Is there a fix for this? TV works fine, it is just
the box.

My Comcast box is the RNG110, and setting it up was done automatically using Xbox (I got the message that says something like "we know how to communicate with your box").

Xfinity / Comcast cable box (RNG110) No audio

Hi Guys,

i did not have audio problems, but xbox off does not turn off my xfinity cable comcast box. you are all having the same box, rng 110,

do you have any problems turning the cable box on or off?

I have the same box as you and had the same issues. On the One switch the power setting to energy saver. You will lose the instant on feature. Turn off the One and then turn off your comcast box. Once everything is fully off you can turn the One and comcast
box back on. Should be working again. I experienced the same issues Saturday morning and after doing the above I haven't had the problem anymore

Go to Settings, Power & Startup. Click on the TV & A/V power options. I'm guessing the Comcast is set to Toggle. There are two options per device, one for power on,and one for power off. I would set power on to on, and the power off, to off. See if that
stops your problem.

I've had the same problem. Mine started a few weeks ago. Mine happened around the time of a bad lightning storm, and I had everything plugged into the surge protector, but was useless.

I try to do a hard reset and when I first try turning it on, nothing happens. Then after a few button pushes, I get the light on and it shuts off. Then after a few more, I even get the fan going and then it shuts off. Never get the Xbox screen.

I have also tried all the options and replaced the power cord because some mentioned the 7a cord that came with it originally wasn't enough power. Nothing. I am considering trying to replace the power supply or motherboard, but don't know if its worth spending
$60-80 for a part and then it not work, especially when the new system is out soon.

I was hoping there would be more people on these forums posting this issue, but doesn't seem that way.
