turning off xbox one games

How do you turn off a game without turning off your xbox one? And no I am not just talking about switching to another app... I would like to be able to go to another app and kill the game to where it is turned off

try connecting it to a standard outlet or just connect it to d different outlet. If you still have the same issues, you will have to call xbox support because you might have a faulty console

What colour is the Power Supply Unit (PSU) light?

 

Menu > quit game when your game is in that small window on the dashboard.

 

I must be overlooking something bc i am not seeing what you are talking about...i do not have a quit game option when at my dashboard...maybe it is because I have things pinned to my dashboard that are taking its place? where would i go to access the menu

 

When you are in the game, press the Guide button on the controller. This will take you to the Home screen. The game should be in the big window on the home screen. Make sure your cursor has this window highlighted, then clicked the Menu button and now you
should see the Quit option. Let us know if you have any other questions.

 

Ah thank you! I was not hitting the menu button i was looking for a menu window on the home screen...thanks again lol
