Turning off Xbox Live auto renewal.

There is no option for me to cancel auto renewal in my account subscriptions, I've followed several different links and watched videos showing how to do it but it just isn't there for me. The only option I have is CANCEL, nothing else. I've paid for my subs
with codes bought online up to now and only have paypal linked to my account. Anyone else have this issue?

Need help turning off Auto Renewal

My gamertag is: , I need help turning off Auto-Renewal for the credit card currently on my Xbox Live profile. I wish to not be charged monthly, I'd rather just purchase Xbox Live as I want it. Please help me so I am not charged every month!

Hello there,as others have said this is because it's on auto renewal which can be turned off also if you turn it off and buy more memberships from your Xbox it will turn renewal back on so whenever you purchase live on your Xbox auto renewal will start
turning on but can be turned off it will also store your card until the membership ends but if you buy a redeemable card then auto renewal won't occur as redeeming cards don't require personal Information. I hope this helped!

 

For billing issues you should contact xbox live chat support, billing section, for they can check out the status of your account in their database:

I had the same problem. Once you hit cancel on the Microsoft page under "renew", it will only cancel the auto-renewal. You will will get a message stating that your subscription will expire on the last date of your membership but it won't cancel your membership
entirely, only the auto renewal.
