Turning off automatic game updates.

I am nearing my data limit and was wondering if there was a way to turn off the automatic game update, so that I have to approve them manually?

well two things to help you

everytime you call concerning autorenewal record the service request number and state it to the agent when there is an issue with that

that is the record of the call

2nd are you sure noone else is purchasing memberships?

your purchase history or billing.microsoft.com can give you an idea

Go to your settings and turn off the feature that puts your console to sleep instead of powering off. This will mean that it will no longer do things in the background. You will have to update manually, (same games still force you to download before you
play) This also makes it so when you turn your console off it will actually shut down. So save your games and what not.

Go to settings, power and start up, and select energy saving mode. The Xbox will not auto update after doing that.

In energy-saving mode, it will not download and install the updates automatically. I believe that is what you are looking for, but there are some drawbacks outlined on that support page.

Is the game a digital or disc version? You may have to check for an update if you have automatic update games turned off.
