Turning off auto renew didn't work

    Turning off auto renew didn't work


    I turned off auto renew right after i got a new xbox live subscription but i just got charged again for a renewal.

    If so, suggest you contact a Billing Agent. You can choose Option 1 after finding your country's support line: See

    Click on Request A Call and type in a few lines explaining your issue and you will get called back quicker than if you waited in queue on hold.

    Turning off auto renew

    Turning off auto renew it's rather easy. From your smart phone, log on to you're account,

    then click (get more gold). At the bottom you'll see change auto renew.

    Just keep in mind that any time you switch off auto-renewal, you get a notification email. And if it turns back on, you get a notification email. If you turn it off, make note of whether or not you got the email. If you didn't, then something didn't process
    right, and you should assume your auto-renewal is still on. If you turn off your auto-renewal, get the email notifying you it's off, then you apply a prepaid Gold membership card before your Gold expires, it will turn your auto-renewal back on. They tell
    you this when you turn off your auto-renewal.

    Hey Randy,

    I would suggest trying to turn off the auto renewal in IE if that doesn't work then contact Xbox Support by phone and they will be able to turn off auto renewal for you.

    Forgot to remove subscription, got charged for Game Pass. The oldest scam in the book.

    If you do not want to continue a subscription, then it is your responsibility to turn off auto-renew. When starting a subscription, you are warned that it will keep charging you unless you turn off auto-renew. Just because you didn't read it, doesn't mean it is as scam.

    If your account is set to auto-renew, that would be why you can not remove the card. You will need to turn off the auto-renew than remove the card. Auto-renew can only actually do its work if there is a card to charge, and removing the card first does not
    turn it off and can break the system, which is why it wont let you remove the card first.

    In short, turn off auto-renew, then try removing your card.

    Removing LIVE Auto Renewal, can't log in due to reinstalled computer

    This did not work. When I tried this solution I got a message that the payment option was in use for the Auto Renewal, and that I should visit xbox.com/support for more information on how to turn off Auto Renewal. And here I can't turn off Auto Renewal because
    it won't recognize my computer.
