    Turned on Xbox One and my dashboard is black.


    *Can’t launch games apps *Does not make sound when I press Ð-pad or Control stick U/D/L/R *Pressing X Box button does not bring up a menu.

    What I can do *Long hold X Box button to turn off or restart console. *See the welcome notification. *See the “your friend is online” notification.

    What I’ve tried *Long press X Box button on controller to restart. *Hold X box logo button on the console for 10 seconds to shut down and “power cycle” the console.

    Nothing worked. I have very little free time and it’s super disappointing not being able to blow off some steam playing games tonight.

    Help!

    This sorta happens to me. I can't sign in to Xbox LIVE when I'm on the Dashboard , but I can sign in if I go to black Ops or other games. But my screen doesn't turn black

    Hey there Stepparn.

    Generally this is on the side of either an update issue or a network connection issue. How do you have your Xbox One connected to your network? If it's wireless try powering off completely and connect via wire and boot your console back up to see if there's
    any change.

    The green “XBOX” screen shows at boot up but the dashboard is all black. I also get the little blue pop up at the bottom of the screen that it has logged me onto my account (Hi “gamer tag”!) over the black dashboard.

    I’ve tried restarting many times.

    I’ve seen there’s a recent issue with the dashboard malfunctioning and turning the screen black, effectively bricking the console unless you can reset it. I can’t even bring up a troubleshoot menu to reset it though.

    Get disconnected from Xbox Live and kicked off BO2 servers only when playing the Xbox One

    Same is happening to me.

    1. Reset Router

    2. Turned Xbox One off completely, unplugged all wires, waited for brick light to turn off.

    3. Set Xbox One/Xbox 360 ports to forward through firewall

    4. Set Black Ops 2 ports to forward through firewall

    5. Set Xbox One to a static IP address

    6. Cleared Xbox One/Xbox 360 cached data

    7. Uninstalled Black Ops 2

    8. Reset router to default settings

    9. Signed out of Xbox One, removed profile, launched BO2, went to 360 Dashboard, signed in, signed in on Xbox One Dashboard, re-downloaded Profile onto 360.

    I have contacted support 3 times. No fix.
