    Turned off my console during controller update


    I was trying to play a game when I was told there was an update for my Xbox One Controller. I have it plugged in via USB and it is very sensitive. After I started the update, it stayed at 0 for about ten minutes, so I turned it off and turned it back on.
    When it came back on, I unplugged my controller and plugged it back in and I was prompted with the update. This time after a few seconds it went straight 100%. But after awhile it wasn't doing anything, and I could still press the Xbox button. So I turned
    it off again. This time I wasn't asked to update, so I did it again. Same thing.

    Initial update failing

    What error do you see? Is your controller disconnecting?

    I noticed on my wife's console that if the controller turned off during the update it would fail and restart. So if your controller/console sleeps when it fails just keep nudging the right analogue stick to keep them both awake until the update completes.

    Xbox One S Controller 3.5 mm sound issue

    Update: the problem doesn't occur if i turn on the console using the controller not the console power button. Also, the controller decided to not respond during gameplay, it wouldn't let me control my character, and it eventually turned itself off. It's
    acting like it's having interference.

    Just unplugged my console again and I got the update message. It still says 0% but I'll wait it out for now.

    It's still doing this Microsoft. How can you issue updates fir your products just to break them?

    yeah before the latest update coz there has been 2 with the first new update my controller wouldnt switch off but the console would now the controller turns off with the console but the vent is still warm and so is the controller and this is hours after
