    Turn on Xbox but screen is black


    Hello Everyone,

    So I turned on my Xbox One, and it was updating, it was at 85%. I left the room and looked at the blacken screen, assuming the update is finished and my controller and console still on, I thought it was glitched and restarted my Xbox. The Xbox startup gets done and the screen is black again, but when I hold the Xbox button on my controller, the options to thurn off console and controller appear (so it’s not my tv). I also get notifications when I sign in on my phone. Is there anything I can do?

    No it does not turn the screen black but one time I was playing fortnite and then suddenly my screen turned black and I had to turn of my xbox. P.S. I liked your joke!

    I had the same thing. Turn on, remove disk. Turn off. Unplug the power cord from the power brick. Wait one minute. Plug back in, Turn on. That worked for me.

    It's at the initial set up. My screen was at the green logo for 10+ minutes then it fuzzed and went into a black screen. Now every time you turn on the xbox it is a black screen. And yes it's hooked up properly and on the right tv input.
