    How would you like me to help? The game is a MMO/FPS, always online....its not like this game was just announced last week. I don't care where anyone is financially, $60+ for a game is expensive, do some research before purchase to avoid future disappointment!

    i rather enjoyed the 3 guys that cleared a path for me to get to the boss. saved me 30 minutes. otehr then that . i jsut see people driving by no one has slowed me down at all. but to answer your question . as far as i'm aware you cannot turn off other people.

    This game is a lot like a MMO on pc. There is always other live players roaming around. You don't have to interact with them, and they can't steal your loot or anything, so I can't find a good reason to bother to turn co-op off.

    Besides, the community challenges (like killing a giant walker) are really fun when they pop up . I haven't tried PvP yet so I can't comment on that but Im sure it's a lot like HALO PvP was.

    DJ1977 This is going to be the next wave of gaming, online open worlds are here to stay, if this is not something you feel like you can or want to adapt to I'm not sure what to say, but I would set expectations for more of the same to be flooding in. As
    others have said even if "your" kills get taken by something else loot is independent and as long as you contributed to the kill you will get loot, there isn't any mob "tapping" like in PC MMOs, this is more like Diablo III style loot where each player gets
    their own loot drops nothing to fight over or share.

    They can affect 'patrols' and when you are killing minions out in the open, but if you notice they can not enter 'missions' with you. They will disappear at the 'no respawns' point.

    Ammo and loot is only for the person who sees it. I understand your point of view(I have Borderlands 1 & 2 and never play them online), and sometimes the extra people can be annoying(trying to farm for glimmer but end up in the wake of someone else leaving
    lots of corpses). I was wondering if it would be an option to turn off as well, but the mission where you teamed with people was a strike and that will always be co-op so you might just want to avoid those(not optimal but no way to solo those).
