Trying to use quick switch device feature on Elite 2 controller using PC

I am trying to switch my Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 between my PC and my Google home by double tapping the sync button as you can with Xbox Series X and S controllers. I have read that joining the insider program will give you access to this feature on older controllers (which I believe includes this controller). I've installed Xbox Insider and been a member of the "Windows Gaming" preview for some time. I updated my controller on the accessories app, but I still can't quick switch. Is there anything else I need to do?
