    Ok so, in order to make sense of this post here is some backstory:

    I learned shortly after getting a XB1 that when you use a disc, the console (even tho there is a disc in it) tries to download the game from a servers rather than upload from the
    disc….which takes forever at my download speed, at some point I was told that
    I could go offline which would force the console to upload from the disc itself which tends to be a small fraction of the time
    required to download.
    I mean a small fraction:
    recently a friend bought Titanfall 2.
    Stuck the disc in and sure enough his 6 Mbps connection was still running 24 hrs later to the tune of 25% finished.
    I went over there, took the console offline and used the upload trick and it was done in 1 hr:
    it loaded 75% of the game in an hr and the previous 25% had taken 24 hrs!

    However, earlier today a discussion got start on FB that I was involved in: the OP had complained about his XB1 game disc taking two days to install.
    I mentioned the above info and then got told that I was dead wrong by another poster.
    To sum: the console always using the disc to upload.
    Here is his post…I cannot make sense of it…what is he saying?:

    “If I was getting the data from a server onto the Xbox I would know because I only get 1MBPS, but when I am installing a disc I get at least
    30MBPS. There is no difference between online and offline except for the fact that with online you download the patch for the game on top of the disc install. That being said there is a bug where you download the game off of a server even if you do have a
    disc and I have had it happen before, but it is very very rare and I haven't had it happen since early 2015    ”

    I have never been under the impression that a bug was involved in the downloading-disc
    game-from the internet thing:
    I have always been under the impression the console was designed that way.

    You would want to pay the dollar to change. Combining these into a single subscription will definitely save you money down the line.

    You would continue to pay for separate subscriptions unless you actually purchase/upgrade to the Ultimate Game Pass.

    As the Ambassadors have previously mentioned, If you are currently paying for these subscriptions on a monthly basis then you would want to complete the purchase for the Game Pass ultimate subscription so that it converts your outstanding time on the Live
    and Game pass subscriptions and adds it to your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription time.
