    Trying to sync up new 360, with laptop


    not having any luck syncing up my new 360, with my lap top??cant seem to find the instrutions to do it...got my 8 digit code,,cant find where to put it.running win 8, with dash board, cant figure out how to sync them both

    No more Xbox 360 Smartglass for Win 8?

    Did Microsoft remove Xbox 360 Smartglass from the Windows app store? I was trying to sync my family's Xbox 360 to an HP Windows 8 laptop but I was unable to find the Smartglass app for Xbox 360.

    Xbox 360 controller won't sync to windows 10

    yeah they both connect to my 360 fine but for some reason won't sync to laptop

    To get your lap top and your Xbox 360 to communicate, you'll need to install Windows Media Center on your computer. If you have Vista Home Premium or Ultimate, you already have it. Once you have done that, you'll need to sync your Windows Media Center software
    to your 360.

    You can do this by going to Media section your Xbox 360, and then selecting Windows Media Center. You'll then be presented with instructions on the screen to which you Xbox 360 is attached. Most of this process is automated, but you will need to perform
    actions on both your console and your lap top as the on-screen instructions dictate.

    There will be a point where you'll be given a code on the screen to which your 360 is attached, and you'll need to enter this code into your lap top.

    Once that is completed, your lap top and your Xbox 360 should be synced, and you're ready to play your content. You can do this buy using the Windows Media Center feature on your Xbox 360 console. Windows Media Center will communicate with the software on
    your lap top. Remember when doing this that you can only play content that the Windows Media Center installation on your lap top knows of. If you have files which you have not loaded into your Windows Media Center library, you won't be able to play them.

    Really helpful jaspertodd...

    Anyway man, I'm not too sure if the 360 and a Laptop would be compatible in that way.

    Best way to go about playing music on your actual console would be to just copy some music onto a USB drive and play it through the Xbox guide while playing a game.

    Yeah no need to be rude Jaspertodd, I have synced my computer to my Xbox try attaching an Ethernet cable to the back of your laptop that might help other wise Matiac's idea is a great one.

    sorry hadn't checked on this in a longtime I have a little update. I borrowed a friends wireless 360 controller and it syncs and works on my laptop with my wireless receiver however my controllers still do not sync
