Trying to share on a second xbox one so I don't need to travel with one.

I have been able to gameshare with my son who is in Texas. I purchase the digital games on his account and we are able to download them to my xbox one in california and we are able to play the same games together. I purchased another xbox this week to leave
behind in Texas so when I visit I don't need to bring my Xbox with me from California. I logged in as my son and downloaded all of our games, then I logged into my account to play just like I do in California, but when I go to play with my son on this new
xbox that is sitting next to him in texas it says I need to sign in with the account that purchased the game or buy it again. My accounts and setup is the same as I have with my other xbox and it is sharing gold. Is this not possible to share on a second console?
The console in california is not on or being used. My son is logged into his and I logged into this one in Texas, yet we cannot share like we can when I am on the one in texas. Is there something I am doing wrong or need to change to allow me to play/share
when I am here with him the same as I do when I am in California?

2 xbox one live account

I have a xbox at home that is my main gaming console. I am buying a used one to take to work or travel what do i need to do to get xbox live on the second xbox and can i keep my same username

Yeah so am I but I can copy my games to more than one external if I own more than one X1. I also travel and can plug my games into a friends Console. Share play isn't 1080p for the second player surely this is unacceptable for a PS4 gamer?

You can only share content/gold on 1 console, the Home console. Since the content is purchased on your son's account, he can sign in and use it on any console he wants. You would need to use the Home console in order to access his content.

No. I wouldn't pay because you can share account on a second xbox. you only need one to be connected to the internet

This doesn't exactly suit the need you are looking for as the three games I'm about to mention don't exist on the Xbox Live store... they are three games in the Final Fantasy series though.

Those games would be Bravely Default, its sequel Bravely Second, and the third game in its trilogy Octopath Traveler. The first two are on the Nintendo 3DS and the last one is on the Switch. They are really amazing games so I though they were worth mentioning.

You can only share on 1 console at a time. So if you need to share on the old console, you'd have to set that one as your Home or buy a second subscription.
