    Im trying to set up Xbox live for the kids.I set up a Microsoft account for myself (the adult) useing my name & e mail and got conected useing a prepaid 3 month card. then i was trying to set up my kids profiles thinking they would be activated under my
    profile but it seems i need to set my children up with microsoft accounts as well? they don't have E mail addresses. Can they have there own Gamertags on x box live? Can I use the same prepaid card for setting up other profiles?

    I have been able to load and connect the xbox live for one of the profiles on my console. My issue or question is that I have 2 boys using the same console, each with their ow profile. Can both of them have a nametag, avatars to play xbox live? I only
    have one email address, one xbox live account when I set up the account. Right now the profile that was open at the time of set up is the only profile that can go live. The other profile can join as a guest but is not able to use the headset and listen/talk
    to others. So can both of the kids be signed in under their profiles and both play the same game live?

    10 Year old's XBOX LIVE set up.

    I'm trying to set up my Son's live account but when asked for credit card details I can only give my debit card details as I do not have a credit card. The details do not seem to be acceptable.

    I have tried online chat and asked the direct question but was told to purchase a prepaid subscription for him. This still doesn't explain how to set up his live account.

    Am I able to use my debit card to set up his account?

    Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

    Each account has to have it's own email address. They can have their own gamertags, but you would need an email for each one of them. Gold only works for the account that it is attached to. If they all want to play online, they would each need their own
    gold subscription.

    Can I change the e-mail account I associate with my Gamertag?

    I tried this and get error messages. When I first set up the e-mail to move it to (which was about 1.5 years ago), it got a whole new gamertag for some reason. So, I set up a brand new account with no gamertag in order to move the one associated with that
    e-mail to and 3rd e-mail so I could then move my gamertag to the e-mail I had set up 1.5 years ago. When I try to move that gamertag, I get an error saying it couldn't perform the operation right now and to check the support page I was already using for my
    instructions. Whats up with this and why won't it disassociate this random gamertag from the e-mail I want to have my real gamertag?

    How can I get a password for my xbox one account that differs from the one I have for my Microsoft account?

    So, if I set up a passkey, when I want to log on the profile from my brothers xbox, what will it ask for? Do I need to enter both e-mail and password, or e-mail and passkey? How does it happen?

    Nope, they need their own accounts. If you were to attempt to set up more than one Xbox Live account with the same Windows Live ID it would err. What I did for my 2/3 kids who are old enough to use an Xbox was when I figured what I would use for their gamertags
    I used their first and middle name with their birthday on the end. Then when I would sign up for a hotmail, at the time, I would use their *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. *** and use their name as their password. You would not forget their user name, email or password. I mean you
    can try other things, but I ran into this too and found this to be an easy way of doing it.
