Trying to set up child account, but once again Microsoft system not working properly

Trying to add my son to my account, but nothing is happening. I've sent an email to joint (to my own email), but it still states "Invitation sent to their email. When they accept, they'll join your family.

What do I need to do?

Xbox LIVE won't accept my credentials, Xbox tech support cannot help

I checked the issue with Microsoft Account tech support, and they sent me back here.

On their end everything work as expected: my parent account and child account are properly connected, I see the child account under the parent account, can set the permissions for the child account.

But apparently the parent-child accounts relations are not propagated correctly to the Xbox LIVE system.

So yes I guess the account isn't set as Child because on my microsoft I will the child account on the Family board, and I have nothing.

So I can't delete my account because I am on PC. So I just Log off and Log in again and it's not working.

The only thing i can think of is to keep trying to send the invitation or keep refreshing to get it to send.

Hi!

Clear your browser history (how to do) and login to https://account.xbox.com/settings using your account.

If yours is a child account, you can't change privacy settings. Child accounts are considered all accounts under the age of 16 for the US & EU, 19 for South Korea. If there isn't an adult account associated with the child account, the adult will have to make a Microsoft account & associate the already created child account with it. Only parent accounts can change settings.

Were you able to play or install any 17+ games before, Kushal? If your account is set up as a child then you’ll need parent or organizer account to manage your settings.

Please also open the Microsoft Store, then click on the profile picture in the top right corner. A pop-up box will appear allowing you to sign out then once signed out, kindly sign in again using the account that has the game then try installing it again.

If you are a child account, you won't be granted access to the link since it requires an adult account to change them!

I would suggest going again through your privacy settings to see if anything is blocked!
