Trying to set up brand new Xbox Series S and there's a resolution issue

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I have a 2010 Samsung LCD 40" TV. I purchased a brand new Xbox Series S and was going through the steps to connect it, but the source where it should be showing says my TV won't support that resolution and to change it. If I can't connect the Xbox to the TV, how am I supposed to change it?

I went through every command available in my TV's menu and tools and the only thing I have as an option is to change the aspect/size. Does anyone know of a workaround? Would using a regular HDMI cable instead of the one that came with it a possible fix? I don't have an extra right now or I'd have already tried it

    Thank you in advance!

    :)

My home xbox keeps loading/spinning when I press it

I have the same issue with a brand new Series S console. Every time I try to set a new home xbox it just loads and doesn’t check the box like everyone else here I’ve tried everything reseting the console, changing connections, clearing the home xbox through developer mode, etc. I just want to be able to use my brand new console.

I’m trying to connect my Xbox series s with an HP w2408h monitor

Hi, Andy my name is Oskayra, and will be a pleasure help you

The issue you're encountering is likely due to a compatibility issue between the native resolution of your Xbox Series S and the maximum resolution supported by your HP w2408h monitor.

The Xbox Series S outputs a native resolution of 1920x1080, which is slightly different from the maximum resolution of 1920x1200 supported by your monitor. This mismatch is causing your monitor to display an "input signal out of range" message.

To resolve this issue, you'll need to adjust the output resolution of your Xbox Series S to match the native resolution of your monitor, which is 1920x1080. Here's how to do it:

On your Xbox Series S, navigate to Settings > General > TV & Audio > Video modes.

Under "Resolution," select "1920x1080" from the available options.

Once you've selected the desired resolution, restart your Xbox Series S.

After restarting, your Xbox Series S should output a resolution that is compatible with your HP w2408h monitor, and the "input signal out of range" message should no longer appear.

If you're still having trouble, you can try the following additional steps:

Ensure that your HDMI cable is properly connected to both your Xbox Series S and your monitor.

Try using a different HDMI cable if the one you're using is old or damaged.

Check for any firmware updates for your monitor.

I really hope your problem has been fixed with my help,if this works let me know and have a nice day. Oskayra

Xbox series X and LG C2 problems.

I have just spoken to LG online and told them about the advice you have given.

They tell me they are fully aware of the issue and that replacing the motherboard will not solve the problem.

They suggest the issue is with the console. I have just ordered a brand new Xbox series x from Amazon. It will arrive tomorrow. We will see if this brand new Xbox has the same resolution issues.

Xbox Series X/S games "not playable on this device" on brand new Xbox One X

I just bought a brand new Xbox One X, but when I go to the store, Flight Simulator and other Xbox Series X/S games say they are "not playable on this device" and I can't get Flight Simulator to install on my brand new Xbox One X because it says it's "not compatible". Very frustrating.
So you bought an Xbox One X and expected to be able to play an Xbox Series X game on it?

Why would a game made for an Xbox Series X work on an Xbox One X?

If you want to play Xbox Series X/S games I would take your brand new Xbox One X back to the store you bought it and see if they will take it back and you could try and buy an Xbox Series S (Series X consoles are very hard to find, but a Series S can be found fairly easilly)
