    Trying to send a message to multiple friends


    As the title states, I am trying to send a message to all the gamers on my friend list but keep getting a red warning message telling me the message can't be sent and to try again later.

    I tried last night and again this morning with no joy. I know you used to be able to do this years ago (been a while since I last did this) and I was wondering if Microsoft has abandoned this feature altogether or maybe a problem at my end.

    Any help would be most welcome.

    Anyone else not able to send messages?

    If you're trying to send messages on Xbox.com, you have a limit on messages you can send to non friends on here. Also, you would need a Gold membership to send messages on Xbox.com.

    You could have exceeded your message limit have a look here which will explain it or there is also a service alert but don't know if that would have anything
    to do with it or not.

    Thanks deezee. Managed to send the message through my console without a problem.

    Dunno what's wrong with sending it on xbox.com, it never used to be this way!

    24 HOURS of no messaging after sending too many messages!?!?

    You get this message 'Message Can Not Be Sent" when you exceed your daily limit of messages. Exactly how many messages this is depends on the following factors:

    How many messages you try to send to strangers per day

    How many messages you try to send to friends per day

    How many unique recipients you try to send to per day

    This limit is in place to prevent unwanted messaging to multiple recipients and prevent spamming.

    I know that if you try to send Xbox Live messages to your friends from this site, the limit is 25 recipients. On Xbox 360, there is no limit. Just tick through the boxes it starts off with your friends then recent players. Don't tell me why.
