Trying to reset my password quickly

Okay, bit of backstory. I am trying to play Batman Arkham Origins (an xbox 360 game) and it tells me disconnected from Xbox Live. I think to myself "That's strange... no biggie." Then it says I won't be able to save! So I look online to see what's the
deal. Turns out it's likely because I changed my gamer tag. All I have to do is just add it, no problem right? Wrong! It won't let me sign in because my password is just one character too long and my only option is to reset the password. Fantastic. SO, I try
to but it's such a convoluted mess and it'll take who knows how long so I'm doing this in the hopes that someone from microsoft can help speed up the process of changing my password.

Don't feel bad. I am in the same situation. I have an alternate email address (that is not a hotmail address) that works. When I try to recover my password Microsoft tells me that because my email account is not a hotmail account they can not send me my
reset info. I have been trying to get my password reset for a month and a half. It's funny how you can reset your bank account password, your email password, and your billing password without issue, but something like a gaming profile password reset takes
an act of god and apparently Microsoft is not god.

If you struggle with resetting your password on the console it might be worth trying to carry out the password reset online and then hopefully all you then need to do is use your new password on the console.
