Trying to purchase a second copy of Minecraft xbox live

What is likely occurring in this instance, rizdek, is that you have the same Microsoft account signed in on both of your Windows 10 machine. If you already bought an digital item, such as a game [purchases done in apps and in-game currencies for game are
purchases that can be done more than once on your account] you will be unable to make this purchase once more.

What you would need to do would be to change what account you are signed in on your PC, and make this purchase once more on this other account, as on Windows 10 devices there is no feature or ability to share games you have purchased on your account. To
launch a game you bought, you will always need to be signed into the account with the license attached to the game.

Even if the game or app is still installed, if you switch what account you are signed into while on the Microsoft Store page or Store app, you should still see the option to purchase the game in order to use it. This shouldn't require you to re-install the
game. Additionally, make sure you are signed into the right Microsoft account on the

Xbox Console Companion app.

IS your son trying to download Minecraft also on the Xbox. If this is the case he will need to purchase the Xbox copy. Each device has their own copies PC, phone, Xbox Switch. This is usually why this error comes about.

Im not sure, that free copy of the windows 10 edition minecraft may to connect to the Xbox live

A second hand copy requires an extra purchase for the online pass that's included with new copies of the game...
