Trying to play original Xbox games on 360

I'm attempting to play an Xbox original game on 360, but every time I try to it says I need a hard drive. I already have a flash drive I use for most of my storage with this system but supposedly I need an official one cause whatever stuff on it that allows it to play Xbox original games but a quick google search only gives me third party drives. Any place I can still purchase one officially?

You can play some original Xbox games on your Xbox 360 console if you have an official Xbox 360 Hard Drive.

If you’re not able to play a game that's an xbox original game, try updating your console software.

The third party hdds haven't got the emulator for the Xbox classic games. Maybe you can get one on ebay but I guess it would be cheaper to buy a used 360 Slim with 500 gigs !

Amazon has them every now and then. You just have to make sure it is official. There are a ton of knock offs and they won't work.

If you’re not able to play a game on the following list, try updating your console software.
Game saves from an original Xbox console cannot be transferred to an Xbox 360 console.
Xbox Live functionality for original Xbox games has been discontinued. You can, however, play system link between original Xbox and Xbox 360 consoles.
