    I tried to join a friend playing Halo 4 and MW3. It said that i couldn't join him in a party. I saw him onlime, could message him through live, but we cant play a game. Any help would be appreciated.

    To be more clear, I'm trying to figure out how to pull him into one of my career-mode games or to play with him online against the computer in a friendly.

    The only way you can play "co-op" in your Career Mode is if he's sitting right next to you. As for any online co-op stuff... I don't think there is a way you can play with your buddy against the AI.
