Trying to play minecraft online.

I open minecraft on the Nintendo Switch. I hit the login to Microsoft account. I successfully login using my phone but nintendo switch gives error:drowned. I did erase all of his data from the minecraft game and still nothing. I restarted. I checked my internet connection. I waited another day to try again. No luck. I don't know if I need to make sure his profile is linked to his Microsoft acct, which I do not know how to do.

Are you trying to play online? Gold subscription is required to play online.

Did you purchase a copy of the game or are you using Gamepass to play Minecraft? Gamepass subscription is required to play any of the great titles available on Gamepass.
