Trying to play Co-op with my Son on Astroneer

I would say Realm Royale it's not a local co-op but its fun to play. Astroneer has co-op online it's in Game Pass. There's Riverbond it has local live co-op.

This answer was not helpful at all. Why does my sons account not have the option to invite me but mine does. When I invite him he gets cannot find session error, over and over again. So I have bought the game for both of us so we can play co-op and I feel like us being in a family is causing issues. Really disappointed in both Micrsoft and the developer. Wish game was on Apple platform as they would require them to have it work if they sell it as a co-op game it would work as a co-op game or it would be pulled from store with apple. Microsoft does not seem to care that they sell a game as co-op/multiplayer but it in fact does not allow that to actually work...... Could family settings be blocking my son from inviting me?

Until the developers enable searching for servers, there is only one way to play Astroneer in a multiplayer mode - you need to invite people from your friends list. This applies to both platforms. On PC, you need to invite a player on Steam, and on Xbox One through the Xbox Live service. It is also worth knowing that the game doesn't offer cross-platform function - users of different platforms can't play with each other. Also, note that the game does not create a separate save file for multiplayer - your co-op progress will be saved on the device of the person who invited other players to the game.

Yeah! I've been playing games I would never normally buy so it's a big plus. Played Astroneer (Great but a bit buggy in co-op), Full metal furies (A really fun co-op game to play with friends) and Supermarket Shriek (A very casual arcade type game. Check

Co-op only? Ewwwww. I guess I will give it a try, or let my son do it. Any certain missions? Or how do you unlock it in Co-op, Ive never done Co-op. Do you just select it and play with it a certain amount of time or what? Thanks.
