  1. Trying to go back a page in Xbox One dashboard

Why is it that when you try to go back in the dash, goes back to the start of what you were searching for, not the last item?

For example, in the games store, if you look at a game and then go back (B Button) it will simply go back to exactly where you just were (lets say, 10 swipes along to the right in a long list of games). BUT... if you look at a game and then look at say,
a video for the trailer, then once finished and back in the game page, if you then press back it will go right back to the very start of the full list of games, so you have to swipe another 10 times to get back to where you were?

I think this is the same when you are browsing your music collection - if you go back it goes all the way back to the first artist starting with "A".

Yet another small thing that really irritates when trying to navigate around the dashboard.

    :)

Do You Like The 360 or XboxOne Home Screen Better

After using the Xbox One for so long, it was hard to go back to the 360 dashboard.

developer sale (Capcom this week) keeps disappearing...

Hey Microsoft, fix the *** publisher sale section. One minute the banner for it is on the screen, wait 5 minutes and go back to the page, it will disappear. You sure as hell make sure your renew Xbox Live Gold message is all over the freakin' place. I get
on the xbox website and basically a page size picture of the developer sale is right there. It should be like that for the Xbox. When you click on sales of the week, ALL sales should be on there, and a link for the Developer sale page. This dashboard sucks
***. You try to do too much and it ends up ruining it.

Also, fix the *** interface. At least 2 out of 5 times I watch a trailer or look at screenshots on a game page, the screen will go black (in the middle of the trailer or clicking on a screenshot) and the Xbox will go back to the main page of the dashboard.
It's getting to the point where this is ridiculous.

    Microsoft, fix your ***!

  6. Yes I have created 4 posts in ten mins, well done, you can count.

Yeah - the B button is back in almost every app I can think of (store, netflix, media player). Certainly it is back when browsing through folders of info, which is what in referring to.

Sounds like when you open a game trailer, it changes "app" to a video player, and the terrible MS interface then struggles to change back seamlessly.

I could say hit the "B" button but like you said sometimes, it goes to a game that played earlier or it goes to the last open app or tab...kinda clumsy interface that could use some work still.

like I said.. it does not always go back a step of what you were doing but goes to the previous app.. if you played a game.. then went to Netflix, then went home, then went to amazon and viewed a few screens. if you hit the B 3 times, you will be back in
    the game

  9. Yes, but as I have now said twice, I am referring to using teh button when "browsing" i.e. browsing music folders, browsing the many games or apps in the store - the only way to go "back" is to use the B button. This has absolutely nothing to do with switching
    app.

The problem is that they have implemented the B button for both a "back" button and a "return to last app" button when there is no more steps back for it to go - as Dwoop says, this leads to a clumsy interface and for me is not particularly nice to use.

It seems simple to implement using the X button or the Xbox button, to bring up a menu that allows you to switch between "open apps" - very simple, and would be perfectly usable.
