    Trying to create an xbox account in Chrome: "An unexpected error occurred. Please try again...


    I'm on https://account.xbox.com/en-gb/accountcreation

    It's for creating a new xbox account. It guided me through creating a Microsoft account first, and then brought me to this page to accept the terms and conditions and to create an xbox account. When I click "I accept", I get this error message:

    "An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later."

    I'm in Chrome on a Mac, if that helps!

    Can anyone help me make an account?

    Edit: If no one here in this support community has a solution, how do I contact xbox support to speak to someone who can help me?

    Edit again: I should also mention that I first tried last night at about 6pm I guess? And then tried several times more that evening over a few hours, and I'm trying now at 10am and it's still not working.

    why not try this on internet explore instead save you the hassle of trying to find out why it wont work on chrome

    Hi there.

    Sorry to hear about this. Have you tried creating a Microsoft account first? Maybe try this and then after simply just login on the xbox.com page.

    As I mentioned above, I'm on Mac so I don't have Internet Explorer! But I tried in Safari just now and it worked. Wow, the account creation process breaks in Chrome? That is unexpected and definitely not good. :S

    Anyway, thanks for the suggestion!
