    Trying to connect to my surround sound system but no luck


    I can get sound through the front speakers and subwoofer but nothing from the rear speakers. The model for my surround sound system and receiver is Samsung HT-D4500ZA and my tv is a Samsung UN60F7100AF. The way I currently have it setup is HDMI from cable
    box to xbox one, HDMI from xbox one to TV. HDMI from surround sound receiver to TV. With this setup i get sound from all the front and sub but not the rear. Yet if i put a dvd into the receiver and change input to the receiver and play the dvd it plays on
    all speakers.

    I tried this as well. HDMI from cable box to xbox on, HDMI fom xbox one to tv. Then instead of an hdmi I used a optical cable from the reciever to my xbox one. Once again I am still not getting sound from the back speakers. I used the same dvd too bc i
    know how the opening scene sounds when broadcast in surround sound and when it's not.

    Can anyone help me please.

    No Xbox One audio through Sony Surround receiver only get Sky Tv audio?But i can through the tv.

    You would actually want your hd box connected to your xbox one then your xbox one to your surround sound and then the surround sound to the tv. this way, your tv will display the picture but your surround sound will intercept the audio. the surround sound
    works as and audio/video in AND out device. Your sky tv wouldn't connect to the xbox at all as far as I know, that would have to be plugged in directly to the sony surround sound and you would change the input on the surround sound rather than the tv.

    Connecting xbox through AV Receiver? Issues

    hello

    I am try to connect my xbox one through my yamaha rx-v667. It will not work.

    I can run my cable through the box then connect it directly to the TV and it works fine (but by passes my surround sound system). When I Move the HDMI to my AV receiver (and change the inputs), I get nothing. No sound. No video. Nothing.

    Any ideas?

    I recommend to use the optical connection to the receiver if possible.

    How is your audio output on the One configured? You should have configured the optical output to "Bitstream" and the format to "DTS" for best experience.

    Please check this setting and post feedback.

    They added Dolby digital 5.1 in the recent march update so the optical surround sound should work the way you are connecting the base station. Try re-pairing the headset to the base station or check if you have dolby digital selected and not a PCM option.

    Advice for your surround sound system: If you can, always connect the optical sound from the source device (xbox) to your surround sound system. This will prevent any delay an extra device (your TV) may impose upon your audio since its going through one
    decoder (TV) to another (surround sound system).

    They are definitely forcing users to buy HDMI surround sound equipment to consolidate the HDCP dilemna. Too bad they don't realize gamers use headsets ;)

    Depends on your surround sound system. We need more information on your system. For surround sound, chances are through a Digital Audio (SPDIF) cable if you surround sound system has an input for it.

    Is it just me with surround sound issues?

    mines been good well all the speakers work and it sounds like i am in a war n the direction of things sounds good, weather its actually running on the systems surround tho i dunno, i think my sub handles it all and that just connects to my box via a 3.5mm
