Trying to connect my first generation xbox 360 to my laptop (pc windows)

I have the first xbox 360 and i want to use my laptop ( pc with windows 10) as a router to connect to xbox live.

I've been looking with to no avail. pls help

Is it possible to connect my Xbox 360 to the Internet through a PC with Windows 10? I shared my wifi network, plugged the ethernet cable both in the laptop and Xbox 360 but when I tried the connection, it failed.

Same issue as the rest of you. I am trying to connect using Windows 10 laptop (version 1709 and connected ehternet) and Windows 10 Surface (versión 1709 and connected wifi). My Xbox 360 is connected to the internet via Ethernet. The 360 Smartglass
app will bring up my profile but will not connect to my Xbox 360 (console settings allows for Smartglass connectivity)

 

What you're asking is a little out of scope of what the Xbox Forums can reasonably support.

I'm pretty sure that with a laptop, though, the most likely solution is probably setting up a wireless hotspot. I'd suggest you start here:

The first generation Xbox 360 does not have a built-in Wi-Fi card. You will need to buy a USB wireless adapter.

There can be varying results based on your networking hardware, so YMMV.

 

What if i had an ethernet cable plugged from the pc laptop to the xbox 360? which is what i was currently doing.
