Trying to change XBOX live accounts and emails around in the family as they're all jumbled ...

We have 3 different XBOX live accounts that need sorting out as they were originally set up a few years ago and aren't in the right accounts. We have the following:

ACCOUNT1

Dad Gamertag

Son's email address

Parent control by Son's email account

All LIVE Billing done through this

ACCOUNT2

Dad's email account

Odd Gamertag

No linked accounts

ACCOUNT3

Son's Gamertag

Mum's email account

We want it to be as follows:

ACCOUNT1

Dad Gamertag

Dad's email address

Parent control by Dad's email account

All LIVE Billing done through this

ACCOUNT2

Delete

ACCOUNT3

Son's Gamertag

Son's email account

Tried for ages but nothing works. Please someone help...???

How to Join Xbox LIVE

This is the final step before you start enjoying the most amazing entertainment experience on Xbox LIVE.

The process is free and easy to follow.

You only require an valid email address and a high-speed internet connection.

There are two Membership levels available: Free and Gold. You can read more about what you get with each membership level.

Before proceeding, confirm the following:

If you have a Zune or Games for Windows LIVE account, it means you already have an Xbox LIVE account! All you have to do is to download the account to your Xbox 360 console, sign in and start enjoying the Xbox LIVE experience.

If you have a Microsoft account, you can use it for your Xbox LIVE account.
Note: "Microsoft account" refers to what was formerly "Windows Live ID". It is the email address and password you need to sign into Microsoft services (including Xbox LIVE).

This means that if you already have a Messenger or Hotmail account, you automatically have a Microsoft account.

So, during registration for Xbox LIVE, if you are asked for an email address, enter your Microsoft account.

If you don't have a Microsoft account, you can sign up for a free account on your computer, or during the signing in process for Xbox LIVE.

If you decide to go for Gold Membership, you should have your credit card information ready before proceeding with the process of signing up for Xbox LIVE.

Steps to follow

1) On your controller, press Guide then select Join Xbox LIVE.

2) Follow the instructions on the screen on how to sign up for Xbox LIVE.

Note: Make sure that you enter your correct date of birth when signing up. This will be used to determine whether you get a child account or an adult account. Once the account is created, you cannot change the date of birth.

Join Xbox LIVE Gold Family Pack

With the Xbox LIVE Gold Family Pack, your family is given four 12-month Gold Memberships for less than the price of two. If you are interested, just select Family Gold on the Subscription selection screen.

No option for Gold Family Pack?

You might be using a child account, or the Gold Family Pack does not apply to your region.

Live account email

I've had a live account for years now but when I set it up I used my gmail email. I also have an local free profile for my wife that I set it up using my Live.com email account. My wife's account doesn't have a Live gold pass so it's just a free local account. Recently I signed up for a xbox Live Music pass about a month ago and I've been enjoying it so far (gmail account)....so to the Issue.
I just got a new Windows phone. All sync'd up and working with my live email account. My music pass though is not showing up for my Live account so I can't sync up my playlist and such. There is also no option to "log in" to your music pass as it uses the account the phone is already setup with which is my Live account.

So how do I switch my music pass to be associated to my Live account? I've been trying for hours to just delete my Wife's free profile account so I can remove my Live email association but I can't figure out how. I do know that I'll have to change my XboxLive account name which is cool with me. But when I try to switch my account over it says My email that I want to use is already in used by a Xbox profile (Yeah, my wifes').

You could try changing the primary email account with the Gamertag. You will need to set him up an email of his own and then change the email address associated with the Xbox Live account. This should release your email from his gamertag, you may need
to change the family settings first.

I feel the love just by getting responses, I haven't had a chance to call again. Had a death in the family so the Xbox is the last thing I'm worried about right now. I haven't checked is the help line open on Sundays? Again thank you just for the responses,
at least I feel like my problem is important.

Called last night, tried a bunch of stuff and was told to shut off my xbox and try again later... 24 hours later still nothing.

And the saga continues...

Called the helpline, asked for an Advocacy Team member, was told they had to try a few things first. 3 people later (none of which were advocacy team members) So far no results. What I have been told is that my current email has not been recognized as being
active, I was asked to deactivate my microsoft account and then sign into my old email and add my current email as an alias to my old account. So far whenever I try to add the current email as an alias I get the message that the email I'm trying to use is
already being used. So now I am waiting for microsoft to recognize the new account as being inactive and then hopefully make this work. At this point I'm tempted to try and just make a new account and try to transfer to that.

Starting to feel like life is telling me I'm getting too old for gaming and its time to quit.
