    Trying To Change My Daughters Gamertag


    Hi iv been a Xbox user for many years now. My daughter has really enjoyed playing Lego marvel with me,so I decided to make her a profile. She is 4 so I have restricted all her use but I can't seem to change her gamertag. I have seen some help that if you
    go to her profile it says change gamertag but it doesn't appear on there. How do I change it as it's some made up one that we don't want.

    He should have a free name change if he never actually made a name and one was assigned for him. Is it possible your daughter made her name already and you just didn't realize it?

    I think you need to allow her online purchases for this as changing a gamertag is being charged. So allow this to her account and set up the restrictions back after changing it.

    Sidenote, you're not asked to make a gamertag when you sign up for Xbox Live anymore it automatically assigns you one that you can change for free one time. They changed that some years ago it can seem kind of odd to use folk that made our gamertags a long
    time ago.
